Hi, I'm Christine - I provide companion care and personal assistant support for seniors in Kelowna.
I’m Christine Richard, the founder of Daughter4Hire – and I started this business because I know firsthand what it feels like to worry about a parent from a distance. Because I have a parent too.
My Approach
Every family’s situation is different, and my approach to companion care and personal assistant support reflects that. Some clients want help with weekly errands and appointments. Others are adjusting to a big life change. That could mean recovering from surgery, moving into a new home, or simply needing more consistent company throughout the week. Whatever the need, I take time to understand what matters most to you or your loved one. That happens through an initial conversation or simply by getting to know you during our first visit together.
Being based in Kelowna means I can respond quickly. I also get to build real familiarity with the people I support, rather than just showing up as a stranger completing a task list. My goal is always the same: to be someone you can trust completely – steady, respectful, and genuinely on your side.
A Little About My Background
I raised 4 children, which taught me patience, adaptability, and how to keep life running smoothly even when things get complicated. I’m organized, calm by nature, and I genuinely enjoy showing up for people.
Before starting Daughter4Hire, I spent 25 years in the insurance industry. The experience made me detail oriented, responsible, and very comfortable managing logistics, schedules, and follow through.
I’m down to earth, easy to talk to and I have a good sense of humour. My role is never to take over – it’s to support you in ways that feel respectful, helpful, and completely on your terms.
Why Work With Me for Companion Care?
I bring a calm presence, common sense, and genuine care. I listen first, respect boundaries, and adapt my support to fit your life – not the other way around.
If you or someone you love could use a steady, trustworthy presence in Kelowna – I’d love to meet you.
